Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-24
These terms govern your use of M.A.G.I.C. By creating an account you agree to them. The service is currently in beta and provided free of charge.
1. The service
M.A.G.I.C. is a deck consistency analyzer for Magic: The Gathering. It runs Monte-Carlo simulations of opening hands, exposes KPIs (Consistency Score, Brick Rate, Power Hands), and lets you share published decks with other users and receive optional AI-generated critiques. M.A.G.I.C. is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast LLC. “Magic: The Gathering” is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast.
2. Account registration
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
- One human, one account. Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent limits.
3. Card data and Scryfall
M.A.G.I.C. reads card data from Scryfall's public API (names, mana costs, oracle text, images). Card artwork is copyrighted by Wizards of the Coast; Scryfall serves it under Wizards' fan- content policy. You may not use M.A.G.I.C. to infringe those rights.
4. Beta status and availability
- M.A.G.I.C. is beta software. Features may change, be temporarily unavailable, or be removed with reasonable notice.
- We target reasonable uptime but make no formal SLA. If the service is down when you needed a simulation result, we are not liable for any downstream impact on your tournament or decisions.
- Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where possible. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to violate laws or third-party rights.
- Interfere with M.A.G.I.C.'s operation (abuse rate limits, flood endpoints, attempt unauthorized access).
- Scrape or copy data belonging to other M.A.G.I.C. users.
- Resell, relicense, or expose the service to third parties without written permission.
- Post harassing, defamatory, or illegal content in deck descriptions or comments.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.
6. Your content and data
You retain full ownership of the decks, tags, and comments you create. You grant M.A.G.I.C. the minimum license needed to operate the service on your behalf (store, process, display to other users when you explicitly publish). That license ends immediately when you delete your account or the specific content.
See the Privacy Policy for details on what we store and why.
7. Community and AI features
- Publishing a deck to Community makes the deck list, your display name, and the simulation output public.
- Requesting an AI Coach analysis sends your deck to OpenAI. By using the feature you accept that the deck structure will leave our infrastructure for that request.
- You can unpublish a deck at any time. Published versions already fetched by other users may remain in their local caches; we cannot reach those.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, M.A.G.I.C. and its operator are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Loss of data or opportunities arising from service downtime.
- Tournament outcomes, purchases, or in-game decisions you made based on the simulation output.
Our cumulative liability in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of €100 or the amount you have paid for the service in that period (currently €0, since the beta is free).
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless M.A.G.I.C. and its operator against any third-party claim arising from (i) your misuse of the service, (ii) your violation of these terms, or (iii) your breach of applicable law.
10. Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Account & privacy.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
- On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may amend these terms. Material changes are announced by email to registered users at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights under your local law.
